When I was young, I focused on the future --
what was ahead.
Now that I've "celebrated numerous birthdays,"
I wonder --
what kind of a trail did I leave.
I'm painfully aware of the destruction
I have caused.

I'm overjoyed when I think of
how God has blessed me
with a beautiful wife
and an amazing daughter.
